I’ve always wanted to learn more about technology, specifically coding, so I took the first step in realizing this goal of mine by playing around with the MIT app inventor. Over the course of five days, I came up with an original concept for a mobile game and created a working product that anyone can play on their Android device. It is called upstream, and the gameplay follows around a tiny fish trying to survive in the open waters. The goal for you as a player is to swim as far upstream as you can, all the while avoiding obstacles and predators. I am pretty proud of what I was able to accomplish on my first attempt in such a short span of time and to experience the game for yourself, click here to download the APK (you can also play another game I developed that is a simple first-person racer).
